Discover the lush surroundings of the Okavango Delta by air

Our scenic flights offer passengers the opportunity to discover the lush surroundings of the Okavango Delta by air. Not only will flyers witness the magnificent scenery of the area, they’ll also have a high chance of spotting wildlife. As the flight is only about 500ft (152.4m) off the ground, passengers may be treated to viewings of large fields of buffalo, roaming elephants, a journey of giraffe, and wallowing hippos. 

The wild is unpredictable and no flight is the same. This creates excitement and anticipation as flyers never know what they’re going to see. If they’re lucky, they may even spot prowling prides of lions or a solitary leopard on the hunt!

Our scenic flights are one hour in length and run either in the early morning or late afternoon. Before departing from Maun, the pilot briefs passengers on what to expect during the flight, including the areas to be visited and possible sights. The pilot acts as a travel guide and game ranger for the journey, creating a memorable experience for our flyers. 

We use various light aircraft for our scenic flights. The majority of the Mack Air fleet comprises Cessna Grand Caravan EX’s, which feature luxurious air-conditioned cabins for our passengers. This makes a huge difference as local air temperatures can rise above 38℃ (100℉). We also limit the total number of passengers from 12 to 9 in order to ensure everyone has a window seat.
